We would like our foreign visitors to pay attention that Thursday 17th April and Friday 18th April are holidays in Denmark. Banks and most shops are therefore closed.

The event centre is located on the assembly areas. Open every day from 9 am.
Instruction and start lists will be available on stage 1 - 1 example per club.
At the event centre representatives of the calculation centre will be present. Further enquiries with regards to eventual changes regarding start, classes, etc will be addressed here.

Available for enrolled on the school in Nørre-Snede. Signed from the assembly areas.
Open from Thursday 17th April from 3 pm to Saturday 19th April 4 pm. Cooking is not allowed at the school area.
Please adress the event centre at the assembly area if you have enrolled and does not want to stay at the school anyway.
It is not allowed to stay overnight on the assembly areas or on the parking areas.

1. stage in Vrads - Thursday 17th April 2003:
Assembly area and parking are situated on a field in the northwestern part of the map. Signed from road 13 at Hjøllund.
2. stage in Nedergård - Friday 18th April 2003:
Assembly area on the sports ground in Nørre-Snede in the northeastern part of the forest. Parking next to the assembly area, by the sports centre and the school. Signed from road 13 in Nørre-Snede.
3. stage in Palsgård - Saturday 19th April 2003:
Assembly area on the fields in the northwestern part of the forest, south of Hampen Sø (Hampen Lake). Parking on the assembly area and/or at Palsgård Sawmill (Palsgård Savværk). Signed from road 13 at Hampen.

The maps will be in a closed plastic bag, and will have printed courses, control numbers and control descriptions (IOF symbols).

Other classes use maps in the scale 1:10.000.
Terrain
1. stage - Vrads:
Mixed forest with hardwood and spruce plantation, plus open heath areas. Areas with hilly terrain, other areas more like a typical West-Jutland plantation- rich on small contour details and with some flat areas. Variable run ability. The northwestern part of the forest is newdrawn.
A lot of work has been going on in the forest lately and a number of trails have turned up that might look like paths. These are not on the map.
2. stage - Nedergård:
The northern part of the forest is hilly, while the southern part is dominated of a flat plantation. Run ability is generally easy, and the forest has a well-developed path- and road system.
There are a lot of game fences in the forest. It is not allowed to pass them.
3. stage - Palsgård:
The forest is a typical plantation rich on small contour details, mixed hardwood- and spruce-vegetation. There is a well-developed path- and road system. Generally a good run ability, however there are some areas with thicker vegetation.

1. stage: 1. start 11 am.
2. and 3. stage: 1. start 10 am.
3. stage is runned with chasing start except classes named "beginners" (begynder) and "easy" (let).
The starting time will be found like this: The times from the two first stages will be added, and the fastest runner will start first on the 3. stage. The starting time for the first runner can be found in the starting list. The following runners will start with the time interval, which separates them from the leading runner.
Runners who are more than 60 minutes after the leading runner in the chasing start, will start in 1 minutes interval.
The final starting list for the 3. stage will be shown on the assembly area and at start 1 on the 3. stage.
-->Start procedure
Runners will be called forward 4 minutes before their start time.
Rented bricks are given out when called forward on 1. stage (or on the first stage the runner participates).
Bricks are being cleared, brick number will be checked. Follow the start personals instructions.
There will be loose control descriptions, so that the runner can place one in their own plasticcover. Be careful not to loose them in the forest.
The map will be handed out 2 minutes before start in the following classes:
D -10A, D -10B, D 11-12 A, D -12B, D 13-14 B,
H -10A, H -10B, H 11-12 A, H -12B, H 13-14 B, H/D 15-C, Beg I, Beg II.
(H= Men, D= Women, Beg=Beginners)
The map will be handed out in the start moment in all other classes.
It is the runners own responsibility that they will get the right map.
Chasing start:
Runners will be called forward about 10 minutes before their start time, and will proceed to the start in the shown order.

Runners who are late starters are being asked to address the start personal and follow their directions.

1. Stage:
Number bibs to all runners in the classes D -10 A, D -12 A, D -14 A, D -16 A, D -18 A, D -20 A, D 21 A and H 21 A.
2. stage:
Number bibs to all runners in the classes H -10 A, H -12 A, H -14 A, H -16 A, H -18 A, H -20 A, D 21 A and H 21 A.
3. stage:
Number bibs to the 10 first starters in each class with chasing start.
Each runner can find their own number in the start list. Number bibs can be found in the start area.
-->Passage of road - compulsory passage
1. stage - Vrads:
All runners will pass a road on their way to start and during the race.
There are personal by the road and there are warning signs for the drivers, but take care.
2. stage - Nedergård:
The runners must follow road 185 on the way from the assembly area to start 2. There will be barring facing the traffic.
All runners must pass road A13 during the race. Runners from start 1 must pass the road twice, while runners from start 2 passes 1 time.
Al passage of road A13 must be through the tunnels.
This is taken under consideration by the course planners and there will be marked a compulsory passing on the map.
It is not permitted to pass the road other places or to pass the game fences in the forest.
-->Liquid
There will be water posts in the forest for the longest courses.
There will be cordial and water at the finish.
-->Control descriptions
There will be used IOF-symbols.
The control descriptions will be printed on the map. In addition to this there will be loose control descriptions at the start.
-->Control numbers
The controls number and check number will be printed on the map with the course. Example: There can be printed 1-53 at the first control. 1 will be the number of the control on the course, and 53 is the check number of the control. See example on the assembly area.
-->Control receipt
The EKT-system SportIdent will be used.
Runners with own brick are responsibly that their brick works.
Rented bricks will be handed out at the start on the 1. stage, and shall be returned at the finish line on the 3. stage. In the meantime it is the runners own responsibility to take care of the brick.
Runners who does not start on the 3. stage must deliver the brick to the event centre.
On the assembly area will be a control where you can clear and check your brick. It is the runners own responsibility that the brick is cleared from old data.
Do you need a new brick it is possible to rent one. Price 40 Dkr. The rented brick can be used during the event, and shall be handed back like the other rented bricks, when crossing the finish line on the 3. stage.
Runners who have lost or does not give back a rented brick must pay a compensation: 230 Dkr.
The collection will be send to the runners club.
When you visit a control and put your brick onto it, there will be a red light and a sound. Should it happen, that there is no light or sound, you must punch manually in your map. There is room for punches at R1, R2, R3 along the edge of the map.
If you have punched manually during the course, you must give up as well the map as the brick, when you have passed the finish line.
-->Brick defect / electronic disqualification
Possible disqualification will appear on a disqualification rapport in the event centre. Questions or objection regarding this must be addressed to the event centre.
-->Finish procedure
The finish time will be registered when the runner places the brick in the control unit at the finish line.
When this is done the runner must follow the barring, and the brick will be registered and the times for each control handed out.
The maps will not be collected in the finish, but please show fair play, and do not show the maps to runners still not started.
-->Maximum time
2½ hours on every stage. All runners- also runners not completing - have to be registered in the finish.
-->Clothes
There will not be transport of clothes.
-->Non-starters
Non-starters can get their map at the event centre 1 hour after the last start.
A representative from the club can get the maps. The maps will not be forwarded.
-->Start in another name
A runner who wish to run in another runners name, must address the event centre before start. A fee of 10 Dkr will be charged.
-->Results
Will be updated several times on the assembly area. In addition to this, the results will be published on the Internet every day. This includes the overall result. Check the homepage- www.horsensok.dk/paasken.
-->Prizes
The prize ceremony will be held running on the assembly area after 1 pm.
The time for the ceremony will be announced by the speaker and will be marked with a Påske-fanfare composed for the occasion.
There will be prizes to the following:
On stage 1 and 2 there will be prizes for all class winners, and for 2. and 3. place in classes for runners aged 16 and under.
On stage 3, prizes will be awarded to the first three overall in each class.
Unclaimed prizes from the 2 first stages can be claimed at the event centre the day after. Unclaimed prizes from after 3. stage will not be forwarded.
-->Toilets
There will be toilets on the assembly area. There will be primitive toilets close to the start.
-->Nursery
Will be established on the assembly area for enrolled children on all stages.
Opens 1 hour before first start.
1. stage - Vrads: Nursery can be found in the eastern end of the assembly area.
2. stage - Nedergård: About 100 m. from the assembly area to the nursery.
3. stage - Palsgård: About 200 m. from the assembly area to the nursery.
Please tell the personal in the nursery if the enrolled children will not show up. Notice on the day is fine, but even better if you can send an email.
-->Children's courses
Children's courses are available on all three stages. Start and finish on assembly areas.
Entries on the day. 1. stage between 10.30 am and 3 pm. 2. and 3. stage between 9.30 am and 2 pm.
Participation is free of charge. There is a prize for all participants.
-->Refreshments
Visit the well-stocked shop on the assembly area. It will be possible to buy breakfast, lunch, cake, candy, fruit plus hot and cold drinks.
Opens every day at 9 am.
-->First aid
There will be personal ready to help injured runners. The first aid can be found on the assembly area.
-->Smoking
With reference to DOF's regulations smoking in the forests are prohibited.
-->Open courses
There are 5 courses available. See survey. Ask on the assembly area.
Start is possible between 11 am and 2 pm on stage 1 and between 10 am and 1 pm on 2. and 3. stage.
Start and finish are situated the same place as the other courses. Rented bricks shall be returned in the finish.
Price: Youth -20 years: 80 Dkr. + 10 Dkr. when renting a brick.
Senior 21- years: 110 Dkr. + 10 Dkr. when renting a brick.
-->Pre-event-training
Pre-event training will be possible Monday 14th of April, and Tuesday 15th of April between 4 pm and 6 pm. The races will be as a training event with the following courses:
Course 1 about 9 km. - difficult
Course 2 about 5 km. - difficult
Course 3 about 4 km. - medium difficult
Course 4 about 3 km. - difficult
Course 5 about 2 km. - easy
Price: 40 Dkr. pr. race.

Stagsrode. Map 1:10.000, contour distance 3 m., revised 2003.

Tuesday 15th April 4-6 pm:
Bjerre. Map: 1:10.000, contour distance 5 m., revised 2000.
Signed from road 459 (Horsens-Juelsminde) west of Sejet.
Pre-marked maps will be provided for pre-entries. When entering on the day it is the runners own job to mark the course.
There will be used punching card. Results will be shown in the start/ finish area, but will not be published.

The tourist information from Nørre-Snede will be present on the assembly areas Thursday and Friday.
-->Regulations
Påskeløb 2003 is an A-2 competition.
It will be held with reference to the regulations by the Danish Orienteering Federation for orienteering competitions.
