Examples can be distributed to the club from the event centre at the first stage.


--> Assembly area and parking

Tuesday 17th April 2003 - 1st stage in Vrads.
Assembly area and parking are situated on a field in the northwestern part of the map. Follow the signs from road 13 at Hjøllund.

Friday 18th April 2003 - 2. stage in Nedergård.
Assembly area on a sports ground in Nørre-Snede in the northeastern part of the forest. Parking next to the assembly area, by the sports centre and the school. Follow the signs from road 13 in Nørre-Snede.

Saturday 19th April 2003 - 3. stage in Palsgård.
Assembly area on the fields in the northwestern part of the map, south of Hampen Lake. Parking on the assembly area and/or at Palsgård Sawmill (Palsgård Savværk). Follow the signs from road 13 at Hampen.

1. stage: First start: 11 am.
2. stage: First start: 10 am.
3. stage: First start: 10 am.

3. stage will be a chasing start, except in the classes described as "beginner" and "easy".

--> Maps
1. stage: Vrads, scale 1:10.000 and 1:15.000, contour distance 3 m., revised and partly new drawn in 2003.
2. stage: Nedergård, scale 1:10.000 and 1:15.000, contour distance 3 m., revised in 2003.
3. stage: Palsgård, scale 1:10.000 and 1:15.000, contour distance 2 m., revised in 2003.

The maps will be in a closed plastic bag, and will have overprinted courses and control descriptions (IOF symbols).


--> Terrain
1. stage - Vrads:
Mixed forest with hardwood and spruce plantation plus open heath areas. Areas with hilly terrain, other areas more like a typical West-Jutland plantation- rich on small contour details and with some flat areas. Run ability variable. The northwestern part of the forest is new drawn.

2. stage - Nedergård:
The northern part of the forest is hilly, while the southern part is dominated of a flat plantation. Run ability is generally easy, and the forest has a well-developed path- and road system.

3. stage - Palsgård:
The forest is a typical plantation rich on small contour details, mixed hardwood- and spruce-vegetation. There is a well-developed path- and road system. Generally a good run ability, however there are some areas with thicker vegetation.


--> Electronic controls
The EKT-system Sportident will be used.
articipants having their own brick are asked to give their brick number when entering.
Other runners rent the brick. The brick will be given out when starting on the first stage, and shall be returned at the finish line on the 3. stage.
Runners who have forgotten their brick can rent one in the start area by paying 40 DKr.
Runners who have lost a rented brick have to pay compensation: 230 DKr.


--> Prizes
On stage 1 and 2 there will be prizes for all class winners, and for 2. and 3. place in classes for runners aged 16 and under.
On stage 3, prizes will be awarded to the first three overall in each class.


--> Results
Results will be updated several times on the assembly area. In addition to this, the results will be published on the Internet every day. This includes the overall result.


--> Event centre
On the assembly area. Opens every day at 9 am.


--> Refreshments
A well-stocked shop will be situated on the assembly area. It will be possible to buy breakfast, lunch, cake, fruit, candy plus hot and cold drinks.


--> Nursery
Will be established on the assembly area for enrolled children on all 3 stages.
Enrolment with the name and age of the child has to be sent when entering the competition.
Free of charge.
Hvis tilmeldte børn alligevel ikke benytter sig af tilbuddet, Please tell the personal in the nursery if the enrolled children will not show up. On the day notice is fine.


--> Children's Courses
Children's courses are available on all three days. Follow the signs from the assembly area. Entry on the day possible. Participation is free of charge.


--> Number restriction
The maximum of participants is 2000. Entries will be registered in order of receipt of entering and payment.


--> Open courses
Open courses will be available each day as long as the maximum number of participants has not been reached. Lengths ect. can be seen in the survey. Runners in the open courses do not participate in the stage race.
It is possible to start between 11 am and 2 pm on stage 1, and between 10 am and 1 pm on 2. and 3. stage.

Price:
Youth -20 years: 80 DKr. + 10 DKr. when renting brick.
Senior 21 years-: 110 DKr. + 10 DKr. when renting brick.

--> Shower
Shower will be available in Nørre-Snede sport centre Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Follow the signs from the assembly areas.


--> Accommodation
It is not allowed to stay overnight on the assembly areas or on the parking areas.
Floor accommodation is available on the school in Nørre-Snede. The school opens for accommodation Thursday 17th of April 3 pm, and closes Saturday 19th April 4 pm.
Price: 50 DKr. pr. person pr. night.
Enrolment and payment for accommodation has to be sent when entering the competition.
It is not allowed to cook hot food at the school.

FFor other accommodation, contact the local tourist offices.


--> Entry Fee
Aged 20 and under: 220 DKr. + 30 DKr. for renting of brick.
Other classes: 310 DKr. + 30 DKr. for renting of brick.


--> Pre-event training
Pre-event training will be possible Monday 14th of April, and Tuesday 15th of April between 4-6 pm. The races will be as a training event with following courses:
Course 1 about 9 km. - difficult
Course 2 about 5 km. - difficult
Course 3 about 4 km. - medium difficult
Course 4 about 3 km. - difficult
Course 5 about 2 km. - easy
There will be used ordinary punching system. Result will be shown in the start/finish area.
Price: 40 DKr. pr. race.

Monday 14th April 4-6 pm: Stagsrode.Map: 1 :10.000, contour distance 3 m., revised 1999.
Follow the signs from road 23 (Vejle-Juelsminde) between Hyrup and Barrit.

TTuesday 15th April 4-6 pm: Bjerre.Map: 1:10.000, contour distance 5 m., revised 2000.
Follow the signs from road 459 (Horsens-Juelsminde) west of Sejet.

It is possible to pre-enter and pay for the pre-event training.
Pre-marked maps will be provided for pre-entries. When entering on the day the runners must mark the course themselves.


--> Entries and payment
Entries to the Påskeløb 2003 have to be sent pr. club. The same concern entries for accommodation, enrolment of children to the nursery and pre-event training.

BPayment for entries, renting of Sportident-bricks, payment for pre-event training and accommodation shall be done at the same time as sending the entry form to:

Entry is valid once payment fees have been received.

Changes can be made thereafter bye paying 50 DKr per participant.

--> Late entries
Permissible up to Friday 28th March 2003 on payment of an additional 50 DKr. per participant.


--> Regulations
Påskeløbet will be held according to the regulations from the Danish Orienteering Federation (DOF) about orienteering events.
